As much as the Sea Breeze Beach Front Hotel and Apartments is a wonderful place to stay, Agios Gordios is a fascinating resort to spend your summer holiday in the sun.
As well as a relatively large number of good restaurants, beach front cafes and many water sports to enjoy, there is also a very fascinating natural landscape to explore in the surrounding areas.
Always remember to take water and a hat on your walks and don’t forget your camera! At the Sea Breeze you’ll be able to discover a whole world of natural beauty. Ask us for more ideas and places to visit.
On the beach of Agios Gordios there are boats, canoes and pedalos for hire, making Ortholithi Rock an attractive adventure. There is also a water ski school that offers paragliding, floating rings and banana rides. In Agios Ioannis, a few kilometers north of Agios Gordios, you can have more family water fun in one of Europe’s largest themed water-parks. With over 38 slides and a huge wave pool you are sure to want to go again.
Agios Gordios is one of the most picturesque locations from which to catch the setting sun as it sizzles into the horizon’s edge. Another famous nearby sunset hot spot is on top of Pelekas village hill. Kaiser’s throne, as it is called, offers 360 degree views of Corfu and some of the best sunset photography in the world.
In Agios Gordios you can enjoy sophisticated wine bars, friendly pubs, Greek dancing shows as well as D.J. filled music nights that will have you dancing the night away. There is something for all the family to enjoy. We recommend you try the Madison Lounge Bar, a
cutting-edge cocktail bar situated at the centre of the luscious green Agios Gordios village. It’s run by Thanos who specialises in the very best of fresh-fruit concoctions. Inside it is sleek yet understated with mellow tones and tunes to match your Mohito or fresh Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri. Under the shadow of vines and with tranquil sounds of water features, you can enjoy the most popular drinks and cocktails, carefully prepared and served to your satisfaction.
The central west coast of Corfu is incredibly picturesque and still keeps its traditional character and charm. There are a number of enjoyable walks from the Sea Breeze that take you off the main asphalt road:
From the central bus stop, you take the road that leads to the traditional village of Sinarades, past the Pink Palace hotel until you reach a sharp turn. You have two choices: continue along the main road in the direction of Sinarades or follow the downhill concrete path where you will see a sign (to Sinarades by foot) that leads you to “Dechoumenes”. This is a very quiet and unexploited region, that takes you through silver green olive groves on a beautiful foot path.
From the central bus stop follow the road that takes you to the traditional Greek villages of Pentati and Kato Garouna. The former is roughly 6km from Agios Gordios following the signs to Pentati-Paramonas. This area is an unspoilt treasure to discover, with hospitable villagers and a traditional meal to be had once you reach Paramonas beach.
